Textile Engineering Technicians play a vital role in maintaining and improving the machinery, equipment and systems used throughout textile manufacturing operations.
Working across a range of environments, including spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing, finishing and technical textiles, technicians ensure production processes run safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
Employers range from small specialist manufacturers to large-scale textile production businesses operating across sectors including fashion, interiors, automotive, medical and industrial textiles.
Throughout this apprenticeship, learners will develop the technical knowledge, practical skills and behaviours required to maintain and improve textile manufacturing equipment and processes.

The apprenticeship concludes with an End-Point Assessment (EPA), including:
Knowledge Test – assessing understanding of machinery, materials, and industry practices
Observation with Questioning – evaluating practical skills and application in real workplace projects
Structured Interview – reviewing a portfolio of evidence demonstrating competence, understanding, and achievements
Successful completion leads to a Level 3 Textile Engineering Technician qualification, recognised across the textile industry.
