MEMBERSHIP

MEMBERSHIP OF THE TCoE:

The TCoE is a not for profit, industry owned training company. Membership is a vital part of the Centre’s offer as it allows businesses to access a range of products and services as discounted rates. We actively encourage all textile manufacturers to consider membership of the Centre.

Membership also provides a community, while being part of a membership community grants you support, advice and guidance across the sector and brokers access to the manufacturing supply chain. The Centre has approximately 90 textile manufacturing member firms.

  • Information on new developments and new opportunities via the Centre’s newsletter.

  • the Centre’s training rooms for hire at discounted rates.
  • the new Executive Suite for management away days.

  • the clothing/design studio (Sewing Academy) to support business needs.
  • Access to funding streams managed through TCoE for sector related activity. This can include funding for training courses, generally between 50% and up to 100% in some cases, subject to availability. Members will be provided with priority access to funding.
  • Funding support for capital investment, R&D and skills development using the latest funding frameworks.
  • Support with bid writing, matching funding services and assistance to secure public funding.
  • Experts in funding for apprenticeships and Government skills initiatives that can react to the changes in your business needs.
  • A one-stop shop for industry support on skills including apprenticeships, vocational training, bespoke and niche provision.
  • In-house Business Development team to explore the skills needs of your business and support all training requirements.
  • A wide range of nationally accredited programmes across 10 occupational areas from office work to commission weaving.
  • Delivery of short, bespoke, niche provision in your workplace to meet the demands of your business.
  • Opportunity to access our free ‘Health and Safety check’ (1 hour) undertaken by our Safety Consultant & Advisor.
  • Free health & safety training day for any apprentices registered with the Centre’s apprenticeship scheme.
  • Authorised use of the Centre’s two logos for the Centre and the GTA membership on Letterheads and formal documents.

STRATEGIC INVOLVEMENT:

Being a member provide your business with the following:

  • A representative from your company to sit on the Centre’s Management Committee, providing guidance and representation for your organisation’s interests.
  • Full voting rights at our AGM on Board Director nominations and approvals.
  • Ensuring that the Centre represents the best interests of the manufacturers across the sector.
  • Federated membership of the UKFT – the UK voice for the industry.
  • Access to Climate Change Levy programme via UKFT at discounted rates.

HOW MUCH DOES MEMBERSHIP COST:

The Centre offers Full or Associate Membership.

Full Membership is available to textile manufacturers. Associate Membership is available to all other companies with an interest in the sector, subject to approval by the Board of Directors. Fees are based company size. £8 per full time employee per annum + £200 Registration Fee.

(e.g. a business with 10 staff would pay £8 x 10 + £200 = £280 per year, invoice across 4 quarterly payments of £70+VAT)

Associate Membership is based on the same pricing structure but does not entitle companies to vote at the AGM.
