Following the success of our last breakfast briefing which saw 50 industry leaders attend and benefit immensely, we have finalised our speaker line-up for next month’s Breakfast Briefing which takes place on Tuesday 30 September 2025. Guest speakers have been organised with our member companies, advanced manufacturers and key stakeholders in mind so that everyone can benefit from the opportunities and updates.
What to expect

Presentation from Professor Parik Goswami, Director of Director of Research, Innovation, and Knowledge Exchange and Director of the Technical Textiles Research Centre at the University of Huddersfield. Professor Goswami is a world expert in product development using flexible materials and application of chemistry for functionalising textiles and manages a large profile of research concerned with fibre/polymer science, nonwovens, medical textiles, sustainable materials, application and development of nano/submicron fibres for novel applications and plasma treatment for functionalising textiles and textile chemistry. He is a trustee of Society of Dyers and Colourists, board member of UKFT and a member of the advisory board for Textiles 2030.

With the launch of the new Made Smarter programme for West Yorkshire, designed to promote adoption of digital technologies by manufacturing businesses, we have special guests from RTC North who will help businesses understand the support available via Made Smarter – this really is a must attend session for all.

Charles Maltby from Huddersfield Unlimited will updating us how over £1Billion is being invested in Huddersfield to improve connectivity, infrastructure, education and business opportunities – as well as details of upcoming conferences, opportunities and ways to get involved.

Each Textile Centre of Excellence member company is allowed two tickets and there are also a number of tickets available for non-members and key stakeholders – so please do attend.
