Overview
To provide professional, reliable, and customer-focused support within the Mill Shop, ensuring an excellent shopping experience for all customers. The role involves delivering high standards of customer service, maintaining a clean, organised, and welcoming retail environment, assisting with stock management and replenishment, and supporting the efficient day-to-day operation of the shop. This position is well suited to an individual who enjoys working with people, takes pride in delivering exceptional service, and is c
ommitted to contributing positively to a successful retail team within a flexible part-time role.

Key responsibilities
- Welcome and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner.
- Help customers locate products and provide advice on product selection.
- Process cash and card transactions accurately.
- Replenish and merchandise stock on shelves and displays.
- Answer customer queries and resolve issues where appropriate.
- Report any discrepancies, concerns, or problems to the Store Manager.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and well-presented store environment.
- Ensure merchandise is correctly priced and labelled.
- Follow company procedures and brand guidelines.
- Monitor store security and remain vigilant for shoplifting or fraudulent transactions.
- Keep up to date with promotions, offers, and product information.
Skills & Knowledge
- Previous retail sales experience.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Friendly, approachable, and engaging personality.
- Comfortable interacting with members of the public.
- Helpful, polite, and professional manner.
- Good IT skills, including stock control systems.
- Reliable and able to work independently and as part of a team.
