We were delighted to support Bower & Roebuck at their Heritage Open Day celebrating 125 years.

It was a splendid day and the weather was on our side, so it was a good job Dixon’s Ices were on hand!

Bower & Roebuck gave guided tours around their mill, detailing the processes involved in cloth making alongside the history behind the business.

There were weaving displays, craft stalls, Holme Valley River Connections and lots of delicious home made cakes made by the staff. We welcomed visitors from a variety of local schools as well as contacts and members of the public to our stall which had a spinning wheel to win a prize.
