JOB VACANCY: Textile Design & Technical Coordinator at Wooltex UK

Permanent | 37.5 hours per week

Working hours: Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 16:30, Friday 08:00 – 14:00 (30-minute lunch)

The Role

We are looking for a Textile Design & Technical Coordinator to join and strengthen our Design and Technical teams. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated textile professional to play a key role in supporting the development, technical performance and successful delivery of new woven products.

You will work closely with internal teams to support the full journey from concept through to first bulk production, ensuring designs are implemented smoothly and meet both technical and quality standards. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Design Team with the creation and implementation of new designs and technologies
  • Liaising with production teams to ensure seamless transitions from design to manufacture
  • Assisting the Technical Team with quality reporting, trials, quality control and data analysis
  • Collecting and reporting sustainability data and supporting ISO management systems
  • Working with key partners, customers and external pattern weavers
  • Occasional overseas travel may be required

 

Qualifications & Skills

Essential

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Woven Textile Design
  • A genuine passion for textiles with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication and project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)

Desirable

  • Experience in a woven technical environment (placement, internship or post-graduation)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and report data
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and Textile Manufacturing Software (TMS)
  • Awareness of sustainability challenges and opportunities within textile markets
