JOB VACANCY: Warping Operative at Moon

Wage: £14.71 per hour

Working hours: Monday-Friday 6am to 2pm & 2pm to 10pm (alternate weeks)

The role

To work as part of a team providing an efficient service in the Cloth Production department with the goal of maximising operating efficiencies while maintaining the highest standards of quality. Working on Pro-warper, Multi Matic, Karl Mayer Gom 16/24. All employees should be able to multitask between machines.

Key responsibilities

  • Accurately interpret job information to assist in applying correct machine settings and adjustments
  • Operate and maintain creels, including loading and unloading. Thread correctly in accordance of plan, identify and repair broken ends and adjust tension accordingly
  • Read and follow warping instructions and ensure all jobs are correctly recorded in logbook
  • Insert Lease lines where required to maintain correct yarn alignment
  • Monitor machine operation and take prompt action to correct any faults or errors to avoid machine stoppages
  • Beam off completed warps and safely follow SOP’s using Genkinger . Follow manual handling procedures to move boxes/ materials
  • Effectively communicate any quality or production concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner
  • Assist in training
  • Program and enter data accurately on the system
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required from management to support Cloth Production
