EVENT: Unlocking UK–India FTA Opportunities in Fashion & Textiles

Unlocking UK–India FTA Opportunities in Fashion & Textiles – Wednesday 18th March

We are proud to be hosting a very special event this Wednesday, brought together by the Department for Business and Trade, West Yorkshire Combined Authority, the UK Fashion & Textile Association (UKFT) and the Textile Centre of Excellence.

This roundtable will unite senior UK and Indian trade officials – including the FTA’s Chief Negotiators and the Indian Consul General in Manchester – alongside industry leaders and regional businesses from across the sector.

What to Expect

The session will provide a practical, policy-to-practice overview of what the UK–India Free Trade Agreement means for the fashion and textile sector, covering the key outcomes of the FTA, practical guidance on tariffs, rules of origin and market access, insights into the Indian fashion and textile market and consumer trends, and how West Yorkshire businesses can engage, export and invest with confidence.

The morning will combine expert presentations with panel discussion, Q&A and networking, giving attendees the opportunity to engage directly with policymakers and industry peers.

Who Should Attend

This event is aimed at fashion and textile manufacturers, apparel brands and retailers, supply chain and materials specialists, export-ready businesses, and any company considering trading with or investing in India.
