Hours: 39hrs per week, Mon – Thurs 7:45am- 4:15pm, Friday 7:45am- 3:15 pm
Hourly Rate:  Starting rate £15.60  

Description: Mechanical engineer to assist with the relocation of textile machinery, disassembling and re-assembly of various woollen textile machines.

The job requires moving of blending and carding textiles machines. Stripping down machinery, loading and unloading of wagons, and re-building of machines, replacing worn parts as necessary.

Desired skills:

Experience in textile manufacturing preferred. Needs to have good literacy and numeracy skills. Mechanically minded.

Qualifications:

Must have driving licence. Preferable forklift counterbalance licence, Pasma, working at heights experience

Personal Qualities:

Good communicator and team player. Flexible can-do attitude. Pride in their work, commitment to the job.

Previous experience in this sector would be beneficial.
