Role Overview:
We are looking for a motivated Yarn Store Operative to join our small team on a rotating weekly shift basis. In this role, you will play a crucial part in managing the incoming deliveries of raw materials (yarn) and supporting the internal supply of yarn to our production areas.
Your responsibilities will include working within a small team on a weekly rotating shift basis you will support the incoming deliveries of raw material (yarn) including, moving palletised stock, quality checking, obtaining receipts, logging goods as required on the system. You will support production teams by issuing yarn stocks to the correct machines; and returning unused yarn to store, weighing and logging as required.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive and manage deliveries of raw yarn materials
Move palletized stock, ensuring accurate quality checks and logging all goods
Distribute yarn to production teams and return unused stock to storage
Maintain accurate records in the system, including receipts and stock logs
Ensure a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety regulations
Assist the team with any additional tasks to support overall production goals
Shift Details:
Monday to Thursday: 6am to 2pm and 2pm to 10pm
Friday: 6am to 1pm and 1pm to 8pm
30-minute paid break included

Physically fit, as the role involves manual handling and being on your feet
Skills and Experience:
Good written and spoken English skills
Ability to follow instructions and communicate suggestions for improvements
Problem-solving skills and ability to prioritise tasks
Basic IT skills for stock logging and tracking
Fork Lift Truck License (desirable, but not essential)
Experience with lifting aids is an advantage
Qualifications:
General secondary education (English and Maths)
Textile-related qualifications (desirable but not essential)
