JOB VACANCY: Ecommerce & Digital Marketing Executive at Laxtons

Ecommerce & Digital Marketing Executive

Laxtons | Baildon, West Yorkshire

Help us grow the digital side of a great British manufacturing business

Laxtons is one of the UK’s leading specialist yarn manufacturers, combining more than 100 years of heritage with modern manufacturing, innovation and a passion for quality.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for an Ecommerce & Digital Marketing Executive to join our team and help drive the next stage of our digital growth.

This could be a great opportunity for someone already working in ecommerce or digital marketing who is ready to take on more responsibility, or an ambitious graduate looking to build their career in ecommerce and digital marketing.

You don’t need to be an expert in everything from day one. We’re looking for someone with a good understanding of digital marketing, plenty of initiative and, most importantly, the enthusiasm to learn, experiment and develop.

What’s in it for you?

Alongside a salary of £28,000 – £32,500, you’ll receive:

  • 33 days’ annual leave
  • The opportunity to be part of an Employee Ownership Trust, giving employees a genuine stake in the success of the business
  • Monday–Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
  • Friday: 8:30am – 4:00pm
  • Regular team events
  • Monthly employee rewards
  • On-site parking

The role

Working across ecommerce and digital marketing, you’ll help manage and develop our Shopify website while supporting activity designed to increase traffic, improve the customer experience and generate online sales.

You’ll get involved in:

  • Managing and developing our Shopify website, helping to improve the customer journey and increase conversion.
  • Supporting and implementing SEO activity, including technical, on-page and off-page optimisation.
  • Managing and optimising Google Shopping and PPC campaigns.
  • Creating and managing campaigns across Google Ads and Meta, including Facebook and Instagram.
  • Using Google Analytics and other reporting tools to understand website and campaign performance.
  • Analysing customer behaviour and ecommerce data to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Supporting Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) and testing new ways to improve website performance.
  • Working with colleagues across the business on new product launches, promotions and marketing campaigns.
  • Exploring how AI and automation tools can help us work smarter and improve our marketing.
  • Keeping up to date with ecommerce, Shopify, SEO and digital marketing trends.

What we’re looking for

We’re more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, digital mindset and willingness to learn than someone who can already tick every box.

You may be a recent graduate in marketing, digital marketing, ecommerce or a related subject, or you may already have some hands-on experience in a digital or ecommerce role.

Ideally, you’ll bring some of the following:

  • An understanding of Shopify or other ecommerce platforms.
  • A good grounding in SEO and digital marketing.
  • Some experience or knowledge of Google Ads, Google Shopping or PPC.
  • Familiarity with Meta advertising.
  • Confidence working with data and an interest in Google Analytics.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage different priorities.
  • A proactive, commercially minded approach.
  • Curiosity and a willingness to test ideas, learn new tools and continually improve.

Any practical experience gained through a placement, internship, university project, personal ecommerce project or previous role would be valuable.

Nice to have

These aren’t essential, but we’d love to hear from you if you have experience with:

  • Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar creative tools.
  • Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) or A/B testing.
  • AI marketing tools and automation platforms.
  • Email marketing and CRM platforms.

A role you can grow with

This is a role with plenty of opportunity to learn and develop. You’ll gain hands-on experience across ecommerce, Shopify, SEO, paid advertising, analytics and emerging AI tools while having the opportunity to see the direct impact of your work on the business.

So, if you’re commercially minded, digitally curious and excited about building a career in ecommerce and digital marketing, we’d love to hear from you, even if you don’t meet every requirement listed above. Please send your CV to paulbritton@tcoe.co.uk
